Message From Our New CEO of Jackson Housing Commission
My name is Arturo Puckerin, and I am proud to be your new Jackson Housing Commission (JHC) Executive Director. Everyone needs affordable housing, but not every household has the income to support rising housing and living costs here in Jackson, Michigan. JHC provides affordable housing in the form of public housing, Housing Choice Voucher Program, and much more.
With end of year approaching, I am especially grateful for the privilege of leading JHC’s exceptional staff; whose work continues to produce positive impacts for the families and individuals that we serve.
The start of 2024 will provide new, expansive opportunities for JHC and our partners to celebrate new projects, acknowledge the successes of ongoing initiatives, and continue to heighten internal controls while exploring options to address the ongoing housing and homelessness challenges here in the City of Jackson.
I look forward to working with City of Jackson Officials, community leaders, and community partners to achieve the mission of JHC: Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

The mission of the Jackson Housing Commission (JHC) is to assist low income families in securing safe, decent and affordable housing; create opportunities for resident and participant families to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence; and assure fiscal and program integrity by all program participants.
