Mission Statement

The mission of the Jackson Housing Commission (JHC) is to assist low income families in securing safe, decent and affordable housing; create opportunities for resident and participant families to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence; and assure fiscal and program integrity by all program participants.

Currently Jackson Housing Commission is accepting applications for seven (7) Project Based Vouchers (PBV) to be used at the Francis Senior Lofts located at 123 East Wesley Street, Jackson, Michigan 49203.  Applications may be downloaded via the JHC website (Please see Francis Senior loft PBV application located on both the Home and Section 8 Pages of the JHC of the website.


All applicants must be aged fifty-five (55) years or older to apply.  Forty (40) of the received applications chosen by lottery draw, will be added to the waitlist for the Francis Senior Lofts.  Applications will be accepted beginning October 28, 2020 thru October 30, 2020 at Jackson Housing Commission Central Office located at 301 Steward Avenue, Bldg. C, Jackson, Michigan 49201.  Please note that applications must be received by 4:00pm on October 30, 2020 to be eligible for the lottery drawing. Only applicants requiring one-or two-bedroom apartments need to apply. Currently two (2), one-bedroom and five (5), two-bedroom apartments are available at this time.
